A good poetry writing website?
OK basically, I've started writing a bit of poetry and I would like to find a good website where I can upload my poems and get peoples opinions on them. Can anybody recommend any? The more popular the better.
Good tips for poetry writing for a 13 year old?
Is there a specific name for my kind of poetry writing?? (perhaps just crapp poetry, ha). but please help?
Ok well I write what some people say is peotry but then some say " no its not poetry its prose" But then some will say no its niether...Is there a name for someone who just " writes in verse" some lines might rhyme some won't..some might have metre and rythem and some won't etc etc...Do u think the chances are I'm just writing crappy poems..haha

1. to call out someone on an answer to another's question? 2. to write a poem and take someone to task ? 3. to bad mouth a fellow poet behind their back? 4. to put yourself in their shoes momentarily would you like it if you came in at the end of a busy day and found your name slandered? and if you had half a brain or was retawded like me would you sayoh well, they have too much time on their half a retawded brainand flip a birdie or two wondering what the poor bird ever did to deserve it? Your thoughts on poetry writing? what do you think about it? what makes some of it dark?
i'm a poetry writer and i believe it comes from lots of emotions i write a lot of dark things that comes from depression even though i've written a few love poems for someone who is not with me anymore but there's something about it that makes me have rage and anger inside where i want to scream. i write a lot on things about hell is poetry a gift or something?

Looking for a throughout guide on poetry writing?
I have to write poetry for a class and I'm looking for a good how to guide. Not just " use so and so many syllables each line and make them rhyme" , google will take care of that. I'm more interested in the deeper layers of poetry and limericks but have yet to find a good guide. An online source would be awesome, but I'm also looking for books on the subject if you have any reccomendations. I need information which could take me from the beginner stage to something I can be satisfied with.
How to improve poetry writing?
So around the time of March maybe, I started having a liking for poetry and wrote some brief lines, but I want those brief lines to turn into a full poetry. And when I try it just doesn't seem to add up. Does anyone have tips hints or just anything to help me write it and express it more clearly?Thanks D

I have written a poem. It seems to be complete and follows a strict rhyme scheme. The last line is i can wait for you till eternity, cause i know you are my trinity. I know the word trinity is wrong here. Can someone suggest of the last line for my poem?
How can I improve my poetry writing abilities?
I have alot of time to kill nowadays, and I really want to be able to write a poem that leaves its readers in awe of my skills. Does anyone have any tips on how I could improve? or maybe a website that gives good tips? Ghulam I'm confused about your answer. If you're implying that I want to write poetry to attract friends, then you are mistaken. The only reason I'm not as good a writer as i could be is because I would cut English to hang out with my friends. Social interaction is not my weak point, articulating the feelings I have in a way so others can understand them is. now if you are asking me how to make friends, with a name like Ghulam, I'd say you're S.O.L. sorry kid

Lost my poetry-writing touch.. :(?
I am 25 yrs old. When I was 19, I had developed a hobby of writing poems. Slowly, I had become very good at it and by 22 I had written about 70 poems of which around 45 50 were decent poems. But then I lost the touch...I mean in next 3 4 years I haven't been able to write more than 2 3 poems. In fact now I cant write even a line.... become too critical of myself. I think that I have used these words in previous poems. I feel that everything I write is cliched. I feel that now I am forcing rhymes and I evaluate myself so stringently that I cant write Is this a writer's block or something else? How can I regain my art of writing poems??
